Surrey and Berkshire recovering faster from the recession than anywhere else

According to recent research from financial data provider Experian, parts of Surrey and Berkshire are seeing the strongest rates of economic growth out of all the UK regions they analysed.

The top four spots in their survey are occupied by borough councils within the two counties – with Surrey Heath, encompassing Camberley, Bagshot and Frimley, claiming first place with a 4% increase in growth since the recession officially ended earlier in the year.

It is clear from Experian’s survey that the South East as a whole seems to be leading the UK’s charge out of recession as the bottom four places are held by locations in the South West and Scotland.

The results of Experian’s research also match recent findings from our Annual Business Confidence Survey where our clients in the South East region were some of the most optimistic about the state of the economy for the year ahead – with 63% of those asked providing a positive response on the subject.
