Boost for Manchester in European Business Rankings

Manchester has climbed four places in the annual European Cities Monitor survey by Cushman & Wakefield – ranking as the 12th best European city to do business in.

Whilst London yet again claimed first place overall, the improvement shown by Manchester will help the city cement its position as the UK’s ‘second city’ above Birmingham, which finished 18th.

The survey’s 500 respondents, made up of directors and owners of European businesses responsible for location, ranked Manchester at number 2 for office space availability and number 9 for office affordability – great for businesses searching for office space in Manchester.

Manchester was also rewarded highly in other sections of the survey. A 9th place finish was achieved for the quality of its telecoms infrastructure, a grading of 8th for its transport system and another 8th place for the best ‘climate to do business in’.

All in all then it was a great achievement for Manchester and goes to show why many businesses choose to locate their business in the city.
