The London team at online events and presentation experts BrightTALK are ready to put their fitness and stamina to the test this month by competing in the annual Invesco Perpetual Highland Adventure Race to raise funds for The Mitchemp Trust.
Long term clients at our Central London serviced office space near St Paul’s Cathedral, nine members of the team will be heading up to the start line at Inverness Castle on the 18th September to compete in the race that will finish in Fort William, via Britain’s highest mountain Ben Nevis, two days later.
The team will have to cycle, canoe and trek against other competitors over the 100km route to claim first place so it won’t be an easy task that is for sure.
Debbie Theobald, Key Account Manager at BrightTALK, believes she and the rest of the team will make a good account of themselves though.
“The team have been training hard since March and are confident they will complete this gruelling challenge together. I have seen first hand how the money raised from last years 24 Peaks Challenge benefited the children and this has given an us all extra focus for this year’s event.”
The Mitchemp Trust works to improve the lives of young people between 11 and 14 across the UK who suffer from the affects of poverty and isolation. By engaging them in adventure courses, outdoor activities and teaching them basic life skills that they may have missed out on, the Trust has already made a difference to hundreds of kids lives.
The BrightTALK team hope to raise £4,000 for the charity and you can donate to their cause
