A magnet for financial institutions all over the world, the City of London has a huge range of high specification office space available to meet the demands from both multinational companies and small start up businesses alike. As you would expect, the area enjoys excellent transport links with the rest of Central London and beyond.
The London Underground serves The City well with no less than 10 stations within the boundary. The two busiest stations in the Square Mile are Liverpool Street and Bank and between them handle around 107 million passengers a year. Other stations in the district include St Paul’s, Barbican and Aldgate.
Next we look at National Rail services in The City. Six stations occupy space in the district with Liverpool Street being by far the busiest. With connections stretching to Essex and East Anglia, renting office space near Liverpool Street will put you in touch with various geographical markets. The other five stations in the City of London operate services to numerous other destinations including Brighton (Blackfriars), Cambridge (Moorgate), Redhill (City Thameslink), Dartford (Cannon Street) and Southend (Fenchurch Street).
Finally we look at the connections the City has to London’s numerous airports. You can be at the departures lounge in Stansted in under 50 minutes via the Stansted Express from Liverpool Street whilst a direct DLR service from Bank operates to London City Airport. Heathrow is accessible via the London Underground whilst train services from Blackfriars and City Thameslink will take you to Gatwick.
