New Office Space for Canary Wharf finally gets the nod

With news that Mayor of London Boris Johnson has intervened to give approval for the Columbia Tower project near Canary Wharf to go ahead, both residents and businesses in Docklands can now expect to see a flurry of activity around the proposed site on the Isle of Dogs.

The developer of the tower, Commercial Estates Group, has promised to contribute around 4 million to the Crossrail project which will connect London from East to West finally providing a direct link from the financial heartland of Canary Wharf to Heathrow Airport.

The Columbus Tower will stand at around 237 meters high making it the tallest building in the UK. The project is planned to be completed by 2018 and will incorporate office space, residential apartments, bars, restaurants and a huge communal rooftop terrace.

However for those businesses that cant wait 9 years for office space in Docklands, Abbey Business Centres have a range of serviced office suites now available to rent at their business centre on the 37th floor of the UKs current tallest building One Canada Square.

Leasing office space at our London E14 business centre will provide you with stunning 360 degree views of the surrounding area and allow you access to our range of on-site meeting rooms.
